I went to the Live weigh-in for the TBBA Tournament in Sarnia. I met some of the local fishermen and had a good time. I think the TBBA exposed a fantastic fishery (if you like Bass) in Sarnia and the WFN will do more to elevate it's level to the fishing public. The TBBA put on a great show it was nice to meet some of the participants who were kind enough to share a few words with this old guy.

Sarnia will be one of the stops when the World Fishing Network launches a $1-million tournament next summer.
The Pro-Am WFN Tour Bass Championships will feature five events running from early July until late September.
The tour, which will include such top professional anglers as Bob Izumi, J. P. DeRose and Dave Mercer, will be in Sarnia from July 25 to 27.
"We're super excited about it," said Vicky Praill of Tourism Sarnia-Lambton, which helped land the event for the city.
In addition to bringing about 250 anglers to the community, it will secure national television exposure for what many believe to be Sarnia-Lambton's greatest asset — its location.
"Having the tour come here will highlight the fact that we're surrounded by water, with Lake Huron and the St. Clair River," Praill said. "People will see what we see every day."
Dan Cimoroni of Insight Sports, which operates the fishing network, said, “With more people actively participating in fishing than in golf and tennis combined, we believe the WFN Tour will provide an excellent opportunity to grow one of the world’s most popular sports.”
He added, “We are looking forward to providing anglers and fans of competitive fishing with the first elite, Canadian-based, world class tour.”
Izumi, who has been fishing competitively for decades, is looking forward to the competition.

“The calibre of event that WFN is producing should put Canada back on the world stage,” he said.
The Sarnia event will be open to both amateurs and professionals. Amateurs will battle for a variety of fishing-related prizes, while the pros will compete exclusively for prize money.
Coverage of the tour will be broadcast on WFN, as well as a yet-to-be-named national television network.
In addition to Sarnia, the tour will take place at Georgina on Lake Simcoe, Port Colborne on Lake Erie, Gravenhurst on Lake Muskoka, and Kingston on the St. Lawrence River.
Amateurs will compete on both Friday and Saturday while professionals will be eligible to compete all three days. The top 10 professional anglers, based on the cumulative weight of their catches, will advance to Sunday’s final round.
A maximum of five fish will be weighed from each boat. The competitor with the highest cumulative weight over the three-day event will be declared the tournament champion.
The top 50 pros from each event will win a portion of the overall tournament purse.

Here is a great chance for all those who think they can compete.
Lots of folks claim to know spots where 5, 6 & 7 pounders live, now here is thier chance to put thier money were thier claims are.
Last years TBBA proved you don't have to have the big fancy rigs to win.
Lets get some Sarnia boys in the runnin!!!!
Big prize money for top spots!!!!!
