It may save the ice but we had a lot of weather like this last winter and with thew rivers and pumps running it is still unfishable for a while due to the chocolate milk under the ice.

Snowing pretty good in london right now, winters making its return (I can only hope). Hopefully it tightens up a bit, even if the water's dirty i think i'll still go fishing

our we ice fishermen..or sight fishermen..the warm weather can reduce our chances of being on the ice and if the water gets blown up ,, we cant physicaly see the fish.. but rely on modern technologys or our owm personal instinc...if colder stable air masses are moving back in to our fishing areas we have to be confident that the fishing will improve.I,m in constant communiation with a fellow ice fisherman from B.C.and if he tells me today there is a cold stable air mass in his northern region then I can interpet that that mass will be present in our area very soon as much as 4 to 6 days depending on the speed of the mass.Ive tested this theroy at different times through out the winter and found it to be true.I dont confess to be a weather man.but I do love the ice.

What you say can be very true. However, the ice conditions now are treacherous at best with all the rivers blowing out there will be alot of movement and currents under the ice erroding it quickly Not to mention all the water on top from the heavy rains. Hope you got a hovercraft or airboat.. The water clarity will be an issue. With all the runoff from the rivers I'm afraid its going to be a mudhole
