Post Newbie. Question? Reply with quote
Hi
Newbie Here.

After about a 20yr hiatus from fishing , (fishing partner moved to florida, was never the same )

I think i have caught the fishing bug again. Thank Andy for that.

Im looking to buy a new boat. Under 25Gs, Canadian. Would consider used boat.
Something built for 2-4ppl. Freshwater fishing, some St. Clair and Erie outings. Mostly detroit river and smaller lakes up in cottage country.
Any honest suggestions?

Im not familiar with the new boats. Times have changed.

Thanks in advance.
Happy Holidays.

Nice website, thank Andy for telling me about it also.

Check the OOD magazine as it has a list of the new models for 2010. I have a 16 foot Princecraft Holiday Deluxe with a 40 merc 4 stroke and I've never been happier. Everyone has their own idea of what the best fishing boat is. Luckily there are numerous shows going on this winter and the Internet makes for some good browsing. Good luck in your quest.

There are 3 dealers in that stretch of hwy 400 . Boat Max and Sandy Cove Marine , as well as Legend . All boats except those in the show room are wrapped , so shopping at this time is not the best . You might have better luck at the Jan. boat show .

I have narrowed it down to 4 manufacturers.

Lund
Polar Kraft
G3
Tracker

Any input guys? what would you chose?
I wont be fishing as much as anybody on this site,i will be mostly on LSC and the Detroit River, occassional trip up north.

Im leaning towards a Lund Rebel series model. 16-17 Ft
