Fish Rolls |
|
Tried an old recipe this week that I haven't made in a few years.
Take your fish fillets (I used pickeral) and lay wax paper over the fillet.
Take a wooden mallet and pound the fillets down thinner.
Cut into strips that allow you to roll.. approx 3" wide.
chop up some onion, mushrooms, and a little garlic... brown in a frying pan.
take some Philly cream cheese and soften.
Mix all the pan fry ingredients together in the cream cheese.
spread out on the fish strips and roll them up.
try not to overlap fish too far and then hold together with tooth picks.
I then dipped in egg and then panko bread crumbs.
Pan fry on stove at 4 setting for about 3-5 minutes then keep turning to most sides.
cook till fish is done without overcooking.
A fair amount of work.. but a nice change to a fish dinner.
ENJOY.
