Many of you may know me as the Pickerel Pirate or Reel Nauti on other boards. Here I have with the help of a few real dedicated fisherman created a new Outdoors site that will remain fresh and free to use. I have enjoyed all of the other boards I have used. It was during many fishing trips with friends new and old we discovered our passion for these fishing boards and a need for participation. At first we sought the changes on the BWB site. Despite our efforts requests fell on the deaf ears of the Absentee Management. I then offered to buy the site out right, arranged a meeting only to be stood up not recieving any response. My friend then became an Administrator and we hoped the site would then become fresh again instead he became the janitor mopping up porno and resetting pass words. It became a job rather than a passion. For me it was a tough decision to join here and abandon my works. I hope people enjoy this site and use it freely. We have some good ideas and encourage you to share yours.
Thank-you For taking the time to read this.
Eric

Sounds Like you guys got a bum Deal. Glad to see you have taken the steps to find happiness. I know the reports are voluntary but It takes a good effort to make these sites work especially for the fishing community where everyone is very different in approach and technique.

I have taken some heat for leaving the other site. It was hard for me to leave there, all of this could have been done there if the Owner were to log in or show any interest in the growth of that site. I had over 1000 posts on that board and made dozens of friends there. I liked the old site so much I wanted to buy it when I noticed the owner had stopped showing interest. I am very sorry if your feelings are in any way hurt by the existence of this new board but ask you to come and enjoy it. We will do our very best to keep it progressive, friendly, and PG.

This is my first forum and so far its been a learning experience and the nice photos of everyone enjoying the same passion as I. I'm sure we have fished in the same area as each other one time or another or at the same time.. the only problem I'm having is the time of year that we are talking fishing, this is the dead zone, the lull between water and hard water.......... when we sit around due to weather watching WFN......... lol

I hear you! People thought we were nuts launching a site this time of year, I thought the opposite. Right now you have a chance to reflect, plan your hard water season and make some new friends. before you know it we will be heading out ice fishing. Sit back enjoy the posts and add where you can. Do not be a lurker get out here and tell us how you feel, or about the ones that did or did not get away. There are new outdoors experiences here for everyone. Enjoy and thank-you!
Regards,
Eric

It's a great time to launch the site.
Lots of us are cooped up with cabin-fever and waiting for hard water.
We gotta have something to amuse ourselves during such a stressful time.
It gives us a chance to get to know each other, reflect on the season we had and look forward to the next fish.
If I didn't have entertainment like this, I'd probably being something awful, like cleaning house

looks like we are going to get along just fine! Most of us share that same passion as you. and it doesn't hurt if we like to help people catch more fish.

Excellent site guys, have loved every little bit of it since I joined. I've been fishing recreationally for 20 years now and finally getting
serious about it. Also getting my 2 boys into the sport as well. Hope the site keeps running strong as it is a wealth of knowledge.
Thanks again
Doug

Hello fellow fishermen; I have just joined this site. It was difficult finding a Canadian site that referenced Lake Erie and I am very pleased to find one. I travel to the east end of Erie quite often but now will be travelling to the Erieau area next week for a 5 day jaunt. Looking forward to trying further west and I am sure I can get valuable info here. Wishing you all tight lines and fair weather.
