Post Hello from Sarnia Reply with quote
Hello im new here and a born again fisherman.. i havent fished in years and have never done any fishing locally in the St Clair river or Lake Huron, i will be fishing from a boat, i have 2 at my disposal but i want to start out small so i've been taking the zodiac out the last few days with zero luck and i think its because i have no idea what im doing.. i've been starting at bridgeview marina and trolling/casting from there to sarnia bay, around the frieghters and the grain elevators and trying my luck in the river close to shore around purdys fisheries. I havent tried any live bait so far, but white grubs with white heads havent worked for me yet, ive tried green ones and fake minnows with no luck, i also was casting a little cleo, and an old school rapala minnow with no luck. any advice as to where i should try fishing would be appreciated, also any advice on what tackle i should go pick up would be a great help also. Thanks

Nick

Welcome to Skunked Nick!

Where to service your fishing needs: Outdoorsman on Mitten street is the first to spring to mind. (Next door to the adult video. A 241 trip? LOL)

You'll find a lot of helpful tips and advice here on the boards. Peruse often, daily even. The spots you've tried already are good, just have to keep going out there. Patience, grasshopper Very Happy

Welcome
As above, I'd hit the Outdoorsman for a little advice (be warned, may be a lot of advice)
You are sounding good so far
Soon, maybe already the walleye will be under the bridge/in front of the yacht club
You will see the boats there drifting in towards the bridge from the lake
Ask at the Outdoorsman for some info on this and gear/bottom bouncing, worm harnesses, twisters
Easiest way for some decent fishing and good eats
Cheers
