Thanks for the congrats.
We fished 32 miles from Linwood Beach marina near the Charity Island pulling crawler harnesses in 25-30 fow. We used 1 oz and 20 -30 back and our best color was Silver Streak confusion. Day one was a ride in a half with four foot waves most of the way. We tucked into the west side of the bay and ran in 3-10 fow to stay out of the bigger waves, once we passed mile 20 there was no shallow water to hide in so we bounced the final 12 miles and came out of the water a few times.
Fishing was not fast and furious, but our first pass we did land 2 walleyes and picked up 6 for the day.
Day 2 started out beautiful with a slight NE wind and clear skies. Once out about 15 miles we hit a FOG patch that lasted number of miles and we had to slow it down. Others did not and that was a concern only being able to see about 100 yrds. The fog lifted and the water had a slight chop but when we arrrived to our #1 spot the fishing had slowed quite a bit and we stayed only 3 hrs. Headed to spot 2 with 1 -6# eye in the well and pulled 3 more quickly. The sun got higher and the water got flatter and so did the fishing. Nothing for 2 hrs and having about 18# in the well we needed the final fish. At 2 pm we hit spot three, it was a small fish spot just to fill the limit. Fortunately our 5th fish was 5# and we upgraded a smaller one. We did manage to boat 6 fish in the final 30 minutes.

Saginaw Bay is a big fishery that has plenty of fish and is quite like LSC and Lake Erie. The inner bay is full of mostly smaller fish with a few biggies in the mix. The outer bay is deeper and the fish move alot with wind and waves. Most of the tournies I have fished there have been won on the outer bay near Charity Island or the Steeples. It is big water and some of the ugliest waves, but there are a number of boat launches up both sides of the bay to keep you fishing some what close to a marina you chose. We did our pre fishing out of Au Gres keeping the fishing within 12 miles of the launch.

Thanks again and I am looking forward to catch some steel. OH we did catch one steelie in the open water N of Charity Island on a harness cranking it back to the boat.... we were in 19 fow???
