Here are The Rules! |

Ray Demers Memorial Tournament
and St Clair Can-Am
Tournament Rules
• Tournament is open to the public.
• All participants are required to adhere to all Ontario/Michigan safety
regulations, fishing regulations, and normal rules of angler etiquette.
• All Muskies must be caught from a boat on Lake St. Clair, Detroit
River, or St. Clair River. 2 rods are legal on the open waters of Lake
St. Clair. No Snagged fish or live bait allowed.
• Tournament hours:Saturday 6:00am to 10:00pm. Sunday 6:00 am to
1:00 pm.
• All occupants in your boat must be entered in the tournament.
• Muskies must be at least 44” in length and released unharmed to
qualify. Exception; Junior division is 30" minimum released.
• Fish are scored by total length, measured from the tip of the lower
jaw to the tip of the tail (squeezing of the tail allowed).
• All qualifying Muskies must be measured and witnessed by a
participant in the tournament, witness shall sign the Fish Log form.
Please record time caught, as this may be very important.
• All Fish Log forms must be turned in to the Tournament Release
committee on Sunday by 2:00 pm to be eligible. No exceptions.
• A digital picture of all large fish and potential winning fish is highly
recommended for proof of catch.
• Any violation of these rules will result in disqualification.
• Any protest of the tournament rules must be presented in writing to
the tournament committee prior to 2:00 pm Sunday.
• In case of a tie, first fish caught wins.
• Tournament committee will use VHF channel #07 for communications.
• Can-Am Cup Trophy shall be awarded for the longest fish caught by an American or Canadian. This Can-Am Cup will be retained by the Belle River Chapter and a tag will be attached to show the winning team.
The Ray Demers Memorial Cup will be awarded to the longest Muskie caught and released by a Muskies, Inc or Muskies Canada member. The Ray Demers Cup must be returned the following year.

Hey guys, just a quick reminder regarding our Lakeshore Community Canned Food Drive! Last year, we had almost 2000 Canned Goods donated in our Ray Demers Tournament!
