North western Ontario was good to us again yesterday. |
|
Jogging for Walleye on Lac des Mille Lac. 2 boats 6 guys and 7 limits of walleye plus pike and a few small ones put back. Beautiful weather and a shore lunch on a island.

Yes we do the opportunity came up last year and all the kids and grandkids are here or in the west. We sold our spot in the city and bought a property up here with a log and timber frame home that faces the river downstream of Kakabeka Falls. It all happened real fast so I did not say too much. At this point last year nothing had happened yet and by Aug 22 we moved.
We have eagles flying overhead and bears, deer, marten in the bush behind us. Crown land within a few minutes drive. A provincial park just up river. Lots to do and explore and just getting started on the fishing. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

That's awesome, we stayed in Kakabeka Falls Park 5 years ago and again last year on our way home from Alaska. One can never get tired of that view.

Congrats Orval!! You are living my dream! I might have a window in the next year or so to retire from AlphaKOR. I am planning on selling everything and heading up north as soon as I can.

Thanks Chris,
We do love it here. This was a big move and very timely before covid. It’s a different lifestyle and not for everyone but you would enjoy it I am sure.
