hello everyone!! |
|
just wanted to say hi to everyone here. i'm from the London area and love fishing the thames and maitland rivers.
i've fished more this summer then i have in the last 4-5 years and have been kicking myself in the a@@ for neglecting the one thing in life i enjoy so much.
anyways this summer i concentrated on fishing the thames from thorndale to and around plover mills area(s) with great success for smallmouth. the river above fanshawe dam and north of thorndale proved to be the ticket!!! even caught a few small walleye along the way, which was nice to see. crayfish and pumkinseed half inch power baits were the ticket.
fished the maitland with not as much success (wingham and auburn areas), but did have some fun outtings. the maitland is by far my favorite river
i'm pretty excited about all this RAIN as the maitland last week was pretty low. almost time to dust off the old float reel and rod. hoping to take a spin up there this coming week, but with the gas prices eeekkk!!
happy fishing
