Hey guys, just joined a few days back. I was told about this site by a member on here who came out to do a job at my place and we got chattin about fishin. Anyhow seems right up my alley.

I'm an avid fisherman spent 5 years livin in the USA, fished in Texas, Missouri and Illinois quite often. Livin back in Canada again and loving getting back into our native game fish.

I live in Port Stanley Ont and I spend a large chunk of my free time fishing round here or wherever. Problem always is I always fish alone cause I don't have allot of friends who fish. Tryin to convert a few of em.

I fish allot round little beach here and catch a ton of perch, the odd bowfin and some monster sheepies.

I hitt the creek (kettle creek) in the spring and pull out some giant channel cats once the buds hit the trees. Lots of carp too if your into fishing for fun and a good fight.

Anyhow, glad to be a member of your crew and I look forward to maybe castin a line with some of ya.

Take er easy Cold

Thinking of heading to Mitchell's bay to do some perch fishing and such. Does anyone know where the best place is to go to get to a good spot to fish. Was wondering if someone knew how thick the ice is also? Thanks for the info.

bossman, click on the link that says "Skunked.ca Forum Index"
In the second section after Introductions, there's an entire section devoted to ice fishing. The second of those is devoted to Mitchel's Bay and surrounding area. The posts there are updated on a virtually daily basis, giving you all you could want to know about hot spots, ice thickness and water conditions.
Read and enjoy, and don't forgot to invite along anyone who might be interested (oops, did I say might be interested? LOL)
