BBQ Pike Nuggets |
|
I have never been a huge fan of eating Pike, especially not big ones, but tried something new this time and it worked really well for a snack or appetizers at a party/fish fry, heres what i did.
-Fillet one Pike
-Cut pieces into 1” x 1” chunks or so, i hade roughly 60 chunks with a ten pound pike.
- (Roughly) Mix about 1/4 cup of your favourite bbq sauce together with two eggs, and a 1/4 cup of water, and i added a few squirts of franks red hot sauce, (because i put that S#!t on everything)
-Wash all chunks well, then put into sauce, then into fridge and let sit for a few hours, mine were marinating for around 5 hours.
- Take the chunks out and roll in flour with salt and pepper, or if u want, your favourite kind of fish crisp.
-Now deep fry or pan fry in oil for about two minutes or so per nugget...it didn’t take long before they were golden brown.
-Enjoy while hot!
I had them as snack at a fish fry i had on Friday, they were very well received even by ppl who usually aren’t big fans of fish.
